Sterling silver pendant design of an artist's palette with the Henry David Thoreau quote: "The world is but a canvas to our imagination."
Thoreau wrote his most famous work, Walden, while living on Walden Pond. It is an account of his solitary existence, living in close harmony with nature. He was a true champion of the individual and the environment as reflected in this quotation, which has been widely attributed to him. It is engraved on a pendant in the form of an artist's palette, to encourage us all to paint a more imaginative existence for ourselves, but also implicitly to protect the natural world for the inspiration it provides to us all.
Pendant is 15/16" long x 3/4" wide and comes with an 18" sterling silver chain. All designs are gift boxed. Story cards are included that provide detail about the history behind each piece.
