Sterling silver poesy ring inscribed on the interior: Many are thee starrs I see, but in my eye no starr like thee.
This ring is modeled after an original gold poesy ring from the 16th or 17th century, currently in the collection of the British Museum. Spelling and grammar were inconsistent during the 16th century and earlier, and the period spelling is faithfully reproduced on this poesy ring. The outside is ornamented with sixteen round cornered stars in relief. The sentiment engraved on the interior is in period English, written and spelled exactly as on the original. Who wouldn't be charmed to receive such a declaration of love?
All rings are gift boxed. Story cards are included that provide detail about the history behind each design.
