Finger sizing is a very important
element of your order. Incorrect fit is the only problem people ever have
with our bands. The style, quality, etc. is never an issue. We love happy customers, so we make a point of only
presenting the best possible quality in all of the jewelry we present.
Really! From our standpoint, a proper fit deserves a lot of attention
because it's the one aspect of your order that has the most potential for
problems. Wedding bands are especially important to get right the first
time, because a design often goes all the way around the ring making sizing the
ring later very
difficult or impossible. Please read these helpful tips closely to help us insure that
your ring fits just right.

What size are you this month? This day? This hour?
That's right, we are changing all the time. Over the many years we have
been serving our friends we have learned that it's often wise to measure
yourself more than once if possible. We have seen people change by almost
half a size while they are sitting in front of our case trying on rings.
Everyone is unique, but most of us gain about a half size in the Summer over our
Winter size. We are often a bigger size if we have done a lot of walking
around during the day as well. Other factors can affect your size as well.
Be aware, if possible, of how you feel right now. |

What should a proper size feel like?
Everyone has their own
personal feeling about this. Some folks like a tight fit, while others
feel claustrophobic if the ring hugs too much. The best measure of fit is
how easily the ring comes off the finger. Once the ring is past the
knuckle we can often see some looseness, but for most of us the knuckle is the
widest part of the finger, is less pliable, and is what we are really
sizing. After putting on the sample ring sizer, take it off and observe
how easy or difficult it was to take it off. We like to see a little
resistance to taking it off, not an oh-my-gosh! get the hand cream resistance,
but enough resistance that the ring won't fall off the first time you go
swimming. |

Wide rings feel tighter
than narrow rings.
This is why jewelers
have wide and narrow finger size samples for you to try on. A wider ring
often requires a 1/2 larger size to fit like a narrow ring. Don't determine
your size until you've chosen your ring, then try on the sample that most
closely matches the width of your ring, with the following exception. |

Comfort~Fit styles fit like a narrow ring.
Even wider comfort~fit
designs tend to fit like a narrow ring, because they are rounded and more
"slippery" on the inside. Use a narrow finger gauge to measure
yourself when considering a comfort~fit style. |

The right hand is usually 1/2 size bigger than the left.
Most of
us are right handed and are a bigger size there. If you are left handed this
may not be true. Left handed folks are often somewhat ambidextrous and may
be the same size on both hands, or larger on the left or still larger on the
right like the majority of us.
