beginnings   Tim and Sandy Brown opened T. S. Brown Jewelry in 1983, blending their years of experience.  Sandy came from an artist background and was managing an art gallery when she first met Tim.  Tim was managing traditional jewelry stores for other companies.  Together they combined their backgrounds to create a store that was unlike any other jewelry store, featuring hand crafted original designs along with more traditional jewelry items such as gold chains or diamond solitaires.

        

new designs   Tim and Sandy focus the store toward more creative designs that are seldom seen, as well as unique gemstones acquired at the annual gem shows they attend.  Tim and Sandy feature their own designs in the store, many being one of a kind pieces.  The work of many other fine crafts people from around the country are offered as well.

        

new attitude   Walking into some jewelry stores can be intimidating and annoying.  Hidden prices and overly aggressive sales people are not found at T. S. Brown.  Browsers may shop freely and are helped only when they want help.  The best possible advice is always given, so people can make good  educated decisions about their jewelry purchases.  A relaxed atmosphere and honest answers to questions makes T. S. Brown a "safe haven" in an otherwise sometimes unpleasant retail world.  

        

golden rule   Tim and Sandy believe that treating people well is good for business and good for the heart.  Problems are avoided from the beginning by only offering very well made jewelry that will hold up well to wear, and by selling it at fair prices. Items are not marked up, only to have a never ending "half price" sale.  

        

location   T. S. Brown resides by the Cape Fear River in The Cotton Exchange, a very old complex of buildings in historic downtown Wilmington, North Carolina.  Wilmington is between the beach and the river on the coast of North Carolina and was the last port to fall in the Civil War.  It is a beautiful historic city to visit

  Between the big lanterns, this Front Street Cotton Exchange entrance leads to T. S. Brown Jewelry in the open courtyard.
Free parking
 and access to the store is also available in the Cotton Exchange parking lot around the block on water street.
